Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Hart County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its handling of a query.
If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the details needed to read and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads. This information supports site operation and traffic analysis.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors use the site. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, though some functions may then behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used for the following operating purposes.
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send search requests to the selected partner service
- Learn which Hart County resources visitors find useful
- Detect and correct technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to Hart County release records, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy notice and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. That tracking occurs on partner systems, not as a Hart County Released Inmates record.

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be received by the services that perform these functions.
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however, and we cannot promise that a breach, interception, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.

- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies
A request can be sent through Contact Us. We may need enough information to confirm the requester and locate the relevant data.
